Get Wise

I have started reading a journal by Marilyn Hickey called "Get Wise". It is very insightful, so, from time to time I thought I might share something that really jumped out to me.

Today's scripture was:
"Wisdom is the principle thing; therefore get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding. Exalt her, and she will promote you; She will bring you honor, when you embrace her. She will place on your head an ornament of grace; A crown of glory she will deliver to you."
Proverbs 4:7-9

God told Solomon to ask for anything he wanted and Solomon asked for wisdom and knowledge. The Lord was pleased with his choice because it showed Solomon already had great wisdom to request this. "A man who put God first and who was more concerned for others than himself could be trusted with great blessing." Therefore, God not only gave Solomon the wisdom he requested, but riches, wealth, and honor such as no other person ever possessed.
